Winter can be slow sometimes but I have been keeping myself in the public eye both in the news and in magazines! An article was written in one of the local papers about the last show I did with Eric Lutes. I also have a great spread in the Ocean House and Weekapaug magazines.
I also was honored this year as one of the leading ladies in So Rhode Island. They held a large event in Providence last week.
Coming up are four ads in local Connecticut yachting magazines. These are yet to be published but will be soon! I expect this to be another good year as I work on my sailboat series and develop another coastal themed series. The first show will be in May in my home town of Westerly RI. I will post a list of shows I’m doing this year.
I learn more and more how my art touches people’s lives. The feeling I have when I’m on the water is one of calm, peace and tranquility. People who have seen or bought my art describe my work as “happy”. The ocean and bay are certainly my happy places. Just the smell of the sea salt can rush those feelings back. If I transmit those feelings through my work I have done my job!
Until next time, dream happy thoughts of being on the water!
By The Way, Make sure to sign on to my mailing list. I will keep you abreast of upcoming shows, new work and thoughts of the day.
