You haven’t heard from me much lately I’ve been very busy with two major commissions. Commissions are great particularly since they help pay the bills but most importantly I’m making someone happy. The image below is a special place in minds and hearts of this family. It’s a little out of my box as my level of detail and “illustraton” has changed over the years. I really love painting in a more loose, free manner. Plein Air  (Open Air), I hope will be my primary mode of painting at some point. In fact I create a Facebook group before the pandemic called “Artescapes”.  My plan was to paint in various locations, tell the story about the place and demonstrate how I paint it.

The other commisssion is one more aligned with me now as a painter. It’s actually a redo of a recent and favorite painting I’ve done.
