The Crazy Days Of Summer

It’s hard to believe the time is flying by. Even though I am very focused on doing business at my shows I’m always happy to see friends I haven’t seen for a while. One couple I used to be neighbors with when I was in my late teens early 20’s stopped by and it was fun catching up on stories of the past. We have a love for animals in common and the husband used to report the traffic for WPRO. While reporting he witnessed someone throw a kitten out of the window on Thurbers Ave on rt95. He rescued the kitten and sometime around then rescued a dog on the Jersey Pike. He named him Jersey. He had many more heart warming stories like that. They are avid sailors so I actually sailed for the first time with them. They left with two catboat prints of mine.

Another couple, two years ago, commissioned a smaller version of a painting I had in my display. Get this, Their house wasn’t even built yet! My kind of couple lol! It took two years for their house to actually be ready to move into! Wow! The husband periodically checked in with me on the painting progress. Needless to say I wasn’t in a hurry since they didn’t have a house to put it in. When they had a better idea for a move in date they let me know and I finished it up. They came by Wickford and bought another one right off my display!

When I have good shows I like to support my fellow artists by purchasing something from them. Last year I bought a really cool metal sculpture/vase and this year a hand made print of a lobster. The lobster is painted and then pressed against paper to make the print. Whether the art I buy is functional or not, I always think of the artist who made it when I look at or use the art. So much more meaningful than “Home Goods”. ; )

I have a full schedule of shows coming up here on my website.

Remember, for those of you within an hour and a half, maybe even two hour distance, I will bring work to your home to help you visualize size and colors. Beyond that I can Photoshop the paintings into your room. I also can make canvas prints any size or you can use my Print Page to Shop Prints.

Notice a few different room styles and how this painting really brings each of them to life.
