Brushstrokes of Light:

Exploring the Journey of Fine Art Oil Painting with Julie Brayton

Last Friday, I hosted an unveiling of a new collection titled “Tranquil Tides.” To be completely transparent, I’ve previously painted scenes that would fit perfectly into the Tranquil Tides collection. However, these pieces have already been sold.

A delightful couple graciously offered to host the event at their home, extending invitations to neighbors and friends, many of whom are already owners of several of my pieces. The event was a tremendous success! It provided an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and collectors while also meeting new admirers. I managed to sell four paintings that evening, with deposits placed on two more. Furthermore, there are promising prospects for additional sales soon.

As a special incentive for attendees, I offered a bonus of either two 16×20 matted prints or one 6×6 original painting with each purchase or deposit made that night. This amounted to a $250 value, making it an exceptional offer overall.

The hosts generously provided a splendid spread for the occasion, which greatly contributed to the event’s ambiance and enjoyment. Looking ahead to the warmer weather, hosting an outdoor afternoon tea or an event in a community pavilion could provide an excellent opportunity for others to showcase my art.

I’m pleased to announce that I’ve enlisted the assistance of a friend and former Mary Kay Executive, Sherry Curran, as my representative. She played a crucial role in making this event even more successful. You may have already received a call from her. Sherry and I are currently finalizing an agreement to collaborate on promoting and selling my art, which is something I’ve been in dire need of. Her proficiency in both front-end and back-end follow-up ensures a mutually beneficial outcome for me and my clients, who can expect improved customer service throughout the process.

Because I was crazy busy getting ready for that event, I didn’t get to address last week’s Earth Day commemoration.

Shouldn’t every day be Earth Day? Every day is Earth Day With Me! What about you?

If you’ve been following me for any length of time you know by now the best time in my life was in my late teen’s early twenties when I caught eels for a living. That’s right, I set pots baited with Horseshoe crabs to catch up to 3 lb eels. I fished Narrow River and Salt Pond in the South County area of RI. ( See A Couple Of Pics Of Me Then Below)

Stay tuned for more on this!
