A couple years ago a woman bought a painting of sailboats near the Watch Hill Lighthouse. Recently,  this same woman reached out to me needing something for over her bed. She and her husband are avid art collectors. The unique part of this experience was while on the phone with them, I took phone photos of available work I had at my studio, sent them to her and both her and her husband said yay or nay until they finally agreed on “Wild Wave”. It was such an easy experience for both of us. I always offer, even before a client makes a choice to bring various subjects and sizes to help a client visualize a little better what the art will look like in their space but I also, in a case like this,  will deliver. I will even hang the work if needed. Once I was their, the couple couldn’t wait to share their collection of art they’ve  collected over the years.  I love that!

A new thing I am offering now is superimposing art on walls of potential collectors. I have the client take a photo of their space and then I will photoshop the work on their walls to scale. This elliminates the common problem of needing to measure and wondering how a piece will look in a room. This is great for both long distance and local.
