The Season Is Winding Down
Hey There!,
It’s been a while since I’ve checked in. Show season which comes with commission work can be pretty consuming and yes, overwhelming. I can’t complain though. That being said, I am always looking at ways to refine my business where I can balance life, family, art and creativity. I’m blessed that my family lives nearby but in summer, I barely get to spend much time with them.
I had a dream before Covid that I would paint outdoors at various beautiful and interesting locations where I talk about the location in addition to my painting process. Whether your interested in learning to paint or just interested in watching, this will appeal to both. How do I know? Well I posted to my social media a video of me on location a while back and it had a large amount of engagement. So that tipped me off. I created a Facebook group back then called ArtEscapes. You may be a part of that group. My plan is to circle back to that idea. I will be reevaluating the show circuit where I will become more choosy about the shows I do. I don’t know about you but nature is food for my soul just as much as art is. They actually need to go together and that hasn’t happened the way I want it to. Who knows you may see me painitng in snow, if we get any! You will be able to watch on my YouTube channels too if you’re not on FB or Instagram. I’ll keep you posted.
Before and during Covid I had spent hours and hours of time on my online How To Paint The Color Of Light courses. My students found it very helpful. I’m looking to make it even better, hopefully with the help of current students and intersted parties. Stay tuned for more on that soon. It already is packed with helpful information for the aspiring artist and painter. I have instruction for varying levels. It could be a great gift for someone you know looking to learn.
Not overwhelm you but I also have some fun new products. One is a robe I added my designs to. I brought one to an art show this summer and sold it first thing! You can see it on my Etsy site for now. click Click Here to see one of the designs
Only two more shows left for me, Old Saybrook in Connecticut next weekend and then the infamous Scituate Art Festival Columbus Day weekend.
Remember, for those of you within an hour and a half, maybe even two hour distance, I will bring work to your home to help you visualize size and colors. Beyond that I can Photoshop the paintings into your room. I also can make canvas prints any size or you can use my Print Page to Shop Prints.
Notice a few different room styles and how this new painting, still available, really brings each of them to life.
This painting is in my possession and can be seen at my shows or by appointment.
