Julie Brayton Plein Air Painting

Brushstrokes of Light:

Exploring the Journey of Fine Art Oil Painting with Julie Brayton

Bringing The Calm is what I am all about!

It’s a never ending journey, this business of art, but my love of painting and the calm that brings me is a strong motivating force! Over the years I have learned how much that also affects the people who view it and bring it into their home.

I am learning new ways to share my work. For those of you not on social media, I have a YouTube Channel where I also showcase new work and other happenings. If you Subscribe, you will be notified by email of new work etc. I am trying to be regular at this blog post but I haven’t mastered that yet! LOL! I recently posted two new paintings on YouTube. Check them out!

I am getting ready to do what’s called a Print Drop. This is a special promotion on a particular painting I have made a special sized print that only 25 will be numbered and signed followed by an open edition that will only be sold through my website. The one coming is a 16×20 archival print of a very special painting. I won an award on this painting last year! I painted a few versions with a new Triptych version coming but this print drop will not be seen at outdoor shows other than a possible promotion sample. You get first dibs! Only those on this email list will be able to purchase. Stay tuned for what image this will be!

Now that the nice weather is finally here in Rhode Island, I am making a point of getting out to Plein Air paint. I have brought my Students out with me and they are thoroughly enjoying it!

My Why

My goal or mission is to bring reminders and connection to the importance each individual has through the connection to nature. How we all can honor the essence of who we have always been meant to be. Creativity, whether through collecting art or creating it, is a healing force that allows us to embrace, tell and own our stories in a transformative and ultimately joyful way.

How does nature and art make you feel? Comment below.

I would love to hear from you!
