Brushstrokes of Light:
Exploring the Journey of Fine Art Oil Painting with Julie Brayton
Hello My VIP,
The outdoor shows are finally over!! After a little break in the Birkshires I have a new plan I am implementing.
If you are local and go to the outdoor shows I do, you won’t be seeing me at many of them. The shows are grueling and I’m getting old! Lol!! Besides that I need to work smarter not harder. My plan is to find around 5 high end shows I can make the amount I need to make for the year as a portion of the whole plan which also includes adding on few galleries, online marketing and my new and improved Paint The Color Of Light Course.
You will see more new painting posts, some progress painting videos that will be added to my You Tube account. Part of those will include me Plein Air painting. Some of you joined my ArtEscapes Facebook group I created right before Covid and it fizzled before it got started. I want to get that up and running again now.
I feel the shows I have been doing cause me to compromise my work. My love is Plein Air painting and the fresh loose quaility of style I get when in the Open Air. It is more of what I want to be doing. In addition, as much as I love the coast I will be focused on beautiful color and light found in all subject matter.
I also have a more abstract style with a touch of representational I have been chomping at the bit to work on.
November I will be going to North Carolina where one of my students will be hosting an art Event at her house. I will also visit my friend in South Carolina where I hope to Plein Air paint the Low Country. Stay tuned for what I produce.
As a VIP member you will recieve special discounts and first updates.
Thanks for being here!

My Why
My goal or mission is to bring reminders and connection to the importance each individual has through the connection to nature. How we all can honor the essence of who we have always been meant to be. Creativity, whether through collecting art or creating it, is a healing force that allows us to embrace, tell and own our stories in a transformative and ultimately joyful way.
